A couple of Edmonton women are accused of going on a dangerous, gun-wielding crime spree in Slave Lake.
It began early Tuesday night, with reports of a black pickup truck being driven erratically around the town.
Then, as Mounties were responding to a report of an armed home invasion in Slave Lake, they got another report that the local Liquor Depot had just been robbed at gun point as well, by two women who fled in a black pickup truck.
The suspect vehicle was then spotted at a nearby truck stop, with officers eventually cornering it on a dead-end road near the local airport after a high speed pursuit.
Janelle Layla Grey, who is 27, and Amanda Christine Harasym, who is 26, have both been charged with just about every offence in the book, with police saying they have recovered the long guns used during the crime spree. (td)
