Charges are pending after a collision near Vegreville Wednesday morning turned fatal.
Mounties say a 34-year-old man was travelling eastbound in a Dodge Ram pickup truck on Highway 631, and failed to stop for the stop sign at the Highway 857 intersection.
The pickup truck then collided with a Volkswagen sedan, who was pushed off the road into a power pole.
The driver of the sedan, a 26-year-old man, was flown by STARS to an Edmonton hospital with severe injuries, where he died Thursday.
The driver of the truck was treated for minor injuries and released the same day.
Alcohol or drugs are not considered factors in the crash.
Mounties continue to investigate.
