The City of Edmonton is using a giveaway to get you interested in reducing your carbon footprint.
The City’s Mike Mellross says you can enter to be one of 24 Edmontonians to win a free EnerGuide for Homes assessment and label.
“And that process will identify the relative energy efficiency of the home and provide the homeowner with recommendations of potential energy efficiency retrofits they can undertake.”
Mellross says they’re casting a wide net.
“What we’re looking for is different homes across different age classes here in the City of Edmonton.” says Mellross. “So everything from an older home to a fairly new home. So we’re encouraging most households to apply.
However, they’re not looking for condos.
“Single family homes, mostly. Row houses as well, or duplex or tri-plex.” says Mellross.
The contest closes on October 16th. (ms, km)
