It’s a long list of disturbing charges laid against a man arrested in a late-September homicide.
It was just after midnight on Sunday, September 25th that Downtown Division officers were called to the 107 Avenue and 110 Street area. There they found a 46-year-old man with obvious chest trauma.
Christopher Lee Giroux was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.
Now police have announced an arrest in connection to his death: 26-year-old Levi Denim Simpson.
Police aren’t releasing the cause of death, but do say that Simpson faces charges including unlawful confinement, robbery, possession of an offensive weapon, aggravated sexual assault, and first degree murder.
Police also say Simpson had fake identity documents that they allege he was using to disguise himself to commit a crime.
No word yet on a possible court date. (ms)
