Some positive numbers for Alberta coming out of the latest jobs report.
The province added 13,000 jobs last month, about 4,000 of them full time. The number of people in the labour force jumped, which meant the unemployment rate went up slightly to 8.5%.
Compared to last year, though, we are still down by 47,000 jobs.
Here in Edmonton unemployment actually dropped in September from 8% to 7.7%.
Across the country, unemployment stayed the same at 7%, and 67,000 jobs were added. (kdr)
