Neighbours in the Rapperswill community, in northwest Edmonton, have been left shaken by a deadly shooting.
Mike, one of the neighbours living near 171st Avenue and 126th Street, says it all began around 7:30 a.m., Friday.
“We heard six loud pops — my girlfriend ran outside and I followed. Shelia got around the corner and seen the victim’s wife on his lap and just asked that we call 911.”
Mike says the victim had been shot in the temple, the neck, and the ribcage; and he worked to perform CPR as others came with a first-aid kit and blankets.
Paramedics soon took over, but despite everyone’s best efforts the man died at the scene.
His name is being withheld, with no word on a possible motive.
Police are now asking for your help locating a blue minivan that witnesses saw fleeing the scene, with homicide detectives trying to identify possible suspects in the case. (Global News/kr/td)
