A state funeral will take place next Friday for former Alberta premier Jim Prentice.
The service will take place Oct. 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Southern Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary. A statement from the premier’s office says it is open to the public.
The first phase of the investigation into the crash that killed Prentice, and three others, is wrapping up.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada says investigators have collected the data they need from the crash site, and the examination and documentation is complete.
The wreckage will now be lifted to a nearby facility for further investigation.
The plane crashed shortly after taking off from the Kelowna airport Oct. 13,2016. The TSB has said their investigation could take up to a year to complete. (kb)
