There was no come back this time for the Edmonton Eskimos. A month ago in Edmonton the BC Lions got two TDs early from Manny Arceneaux but the Eskimos engineered a come from behind 27-23 win over the Lions.
Saturday in Vancouver, Arceneaux again scored two TDs in the first half, but this time there was no comeback as the Lions beat the Eskimos 32-25.
The closest the Eskimos got was 19-12 in the 3rd quarter thanks to TDs from Mike Reilly and John White but the Lions responded and got their 10th win of the season ending a two game slide.
The loss for the Eskimos ends a three game win streak, and all but ends their chance to finish 2nd and host a playoff game. The only way that happens is if all three teams finish at 10 and 8. BC and Winnipeg would have to lose both remaining games while the Eskimos win both their games. It’s more likely that the Eskimos will play in a cross over playoff game in either Hamilton or Ottawa.
The Eskimos will be in Hamilton for their next game on Friday night before finishing the season at home to Toronto on November 5.
