A driver has been charged in the deadly crash that shut down the Anthony Henday Drive in the first week of October.
It was 6:50am on October 7, 2016 that emergency crews responded to a crash between the Terwillegar and Lessard Drive exits.
Investigators say a southbound Dodge Ram crossed the centre median, colliding head-on with a northbound Ford F-150.
EMS responded, and police closed the road for several hours.
The 31-year-old driver of the Ford pickup was rushed to hospital, but could not be saved.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Dodge Ram was also hurt, but his injuries were non-life-threatening. Police identify him as 54-year-old Tony Thibodeau. He faces a careless driving charge. (ms)
