Charges have been laid in our city’s most recent murder.
Police were called to the Alfred H. Savage Centre near Fox Drive at around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. There, police found a dead man. An autopsy showed Christopher Fawcett, 19, died of stab wounds.
Connor James Miller, 21, has been charged with second degree murder, possession of a weapon dangerous purpose, assault peace officer and resist arrest.
Police said the two knew each other. This was Edmonton’s 35th homicide of 2016. (kb)
