The election of Donald Trump has got some thinking and some talking and some demonstrating in the streets.
As someone on Twitter pointed out, “if you’re rioting to protest against a democratic election, maybe your behavior is why Trump won in the first place.”
You have many opinions why he won.
Ken says, “For years the progressive left has simply told the rest of us that we are wrong without actually listening to us. Trump simply tapped into that alienation.”
Dave says the Trump win just shows what money can buy, but others point out Trump spent a lot less than Clinton.
Many Democrats did not get out to vote. John says it’s just another example of how your vote does matter.
CJLC says on the other hand, many who had never voted before may have been energized by the idea of supporting the little guy and diminishing the professional politician.
And, Eugene doubts things will really be any better with Trump in the White House. He says people were convinced that Obama would be better, but he wasn’t. Eugene says the more things change the more they remain the same.
Let me know what you think.
