Edmonton Police are on the hunt for a man believed to be responsible for a string of robberies.
It started around 2:30 p.m. on October 22nd when a man allegedly stole a gun from a sporting goods store in the area of 153rd Avenue and 37th Street. Police believe he took that gun and robbed a bystander later in the area of 162nd Avenue and 134th Street. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash, the victim was not hurt.
Around 8:30 p.m. on October 23rd, a taxi driver picked up the suspect in the area of 38th Avenue and 91st Street and took him to 134th Street and 162nd Avenue. Police say when they arrived, the suspect flashed a gun, demanded money and took off on foot after getting what he wanted.
Police say the next morning, another taxi driver picked up the suspect from a restaurant in the area of 128th Street and 161st Avenue and took him to the area of 133rd Street and 164th Avenue. Upon arrival, the suspect presented a firearm and demanded money before fleeing the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police say he is armed and dangerous and you’re being asked to keep a distance if you think you see him.
