Popular Edmonton chef and caterer Gail Hall passed away Wednesday morning after a battle with breast cancer.
She became prominent in Edmonton with many media appearances while she ran the popular Gourmet Goodies catering firm in the 1990’s. She had continued to be in the spotlight with participation in local arts groups, and with the business she and her husband Jon ran since 2005, Seasoned Solutions Loft Cooking School and Culinary Tours. They ran cooking classes as well as culinary tours around the world.
An email to Global News from her husband, Jon Hall, said she died at 6 a.m. Wednesday at the Cross Cancer Institute.
“She is now attending a party at which she does not have to cater or clean up,” Jon Hall said in his email.
Gail Hall was 65 years old. (eb, with files from Global News)
