Have you noticed that in some cases you are now paying more or maybe the same for less product?
I went to a restaurant recently that I’ve been going to for years, the price of the meal was up.
When they brought me the plate, there was definitely less food than there used to be.
It could be a combination of rising food prices and the increase in the minimum wage, but either way, it’s paying more for less.
Now we’re hearing about the Toblerone chocolate bar, with the little triangles you like to break off one at a time.
When they open the package in Britain, people are finding fewer triangles spaced further apart.
The manufacturer is using less chocolate to cut down on the increasing cost of ingredients.
The coming carbon tax will soon have us paying more for everything.
I don’t know if they’ll figure out a way to give us less product.
If it was gasoline they’d need some kind of a litre cheater.
Luckily, we have testers who check for that, but they don’t check chocolate or chow mein.
Let me know where you are paying more for less.
