With a Tweet, Don Iveson is confirming that he plans to again run for Mayor in the next election.
After returning late Friday night from the Morocco climate change conference, Iveson Saturday morning posted on Twitter his intent to run for re-election, “though it’s too early to campaign.” he says.

A win would secure Iveson’s second term as Mayor, though he’s been a member of Council since 2007. He’s served two terms as Councillor, first in Ward Five, then Ward 10 after constituency lines were re-drawn.
Iveson won the city’s top job in 2013, with nearly 62% of the vote.
Edmontonians go to the polls next fall on Monday, October 16th. (ms)
