During the American election campaign, it was pointed out that Donald Trump was a businessman and Hillary Clinton was a career politician.
He had no record of governing to stand on and she had no record of business dealings.
She attacked him on his bankruptcies and comments about women.
He attacked her on everything from Bill’s trade deals to emails to what was not accomplished on her watch.
They seemed to be two polar opposites with her talking about people’s rights and him talking about jobs.
Now, with President-elect Donald Trump in office, some of his campaign promises are fading, like his thoughts in climate change. Once called a hoax, now he says he’ll keep an open mind.
No longer preaching “lock her up”, he will not be prosecuting Hillary.
He even gave an interview to the New York Times, the paper he repeatedly called unfair, dishonest, inaccurate and failing.
Oh, and water-boarding is now, out.
Promising one thing and doing another. Hmmmm.
Is Trump suffering a sudden attack of some kind of Washington disease?
Or is the businessman really a politician after all?
Let me know what you think.
