We could learn the fate of two proposed pipeline projects Friday.
The Liberal government has committed to deciding on Enbridge’s Line 3, which would replace decades-old conduit from Hardisty to Superior, Wisconsin. It would also double that lines capacity.
The National Energy Board recommended in April that Line 3 be approved.
The other pipeline is the Northern Gateway. The feds will decide whether further First Nations consultation is required after a court ruling found the Harper government did not consult properly with the communities.
Trudeau has implied he is against the Northern Gateway.
Reuters reports an announcement on the decision will be made Tuesday but the feds say only that an announcement will come after the decision is made. (twd, The Canadian Press)
