The campaign manager for Donald Trump will be paying a visit to Alberta.
Kellyanne Conway will attend a private dinner with business leaders in Calgary on January 12th, and will also take a tour of the oilsands, all hosted by the Alberta Prosperity Fund.
“This visit by such an influential member of a US administration should stand as a call to action for all Alberta industry” said Barry McNamar, the fund’s President, “I hope that Ms. Conway receives an enthusiastic welcome here in Alberta and can return to the US with an informed attitude towards Canadian export products.”
Her visit will happen in advance of Trump’s Presidential inauguration. McNamar said they put the visit together all in the past couple of weeks.
“One of our folks was assisting with the Trump campaign, and we got an offer from Ms. Conway that she would very much like to visit Alberta, learn more about the Alberta oilsands, and also Alberta’s agricultural and export industries.”
The Alberta Prosperity Fund, touted as the only conservative super PAC in Canada, has been a part of the push to unite right wing political parties in the province. (kdr)
