There was a brief lockdown Thursday afternoon at Memorial Composite High School in Stony Plain.
RCMP were told about a problem in the area around 1:00 Thursday afternoon. Police said a threat was made against an individual student, prompting a lock down to be put into effect at 3:15 p.m. The lockdown was lifted just before 4:00 p.m. and staff and students were able to leave.

The Parkland School Division says parents were kept in the loop by texting.
Students from other schools who normally transfer buses at Memorial, were taken to a different location in Stony Plain, for the transfer point.
