The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) has released some video they say shows a suspect in a recent proliferation of hate flyers around the city.
According to the Hate Crimes Detail, during the month of October and in early November, someone was distributing hateful, anti-Islamic flyers in residential mail boxes throughout the city.
In that time, several residents observed a suspect, providing a consistent description, which has now been corroborated with video taken on a surveillance camera at a north-end residence on Oct. 22.
The suspect is described as 5’8″ to 6’0″ tall and medium build. He has been seen wearing dark, bold-framed glasses, and a dark, hooded sweatshirt. The suspect was also wearing two tone, skateboard-styled shoes, and a backpack.
Anyone who has information about the flyers or the suspect are urged to contact EPS EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online. (scb)
