A local fan got the surprise of her life at the Garth Brooks concert on Sunday night.
Annie Parent and her friend were finding their way to their seats in section 225 of Rogers Place when they were approached by a member of Brooks’ crew.
He asked the pair if they wanted better seats — in the first row.
Parent said she reacted as you would expect.
“As soon as I saw him, I was a little suspicious that something great was going to happen,” she said. “He offered us the seats, and I pretty much lost it.”
Parent said though she was happy with her original seats, the front row experience was incredible.
“If there was anyone I’d want to see from the front row, it’s Garth Brooks,” she said.
Parent says that her favourite part of the show was “all of it, from beginning to end.”
Garth Brooks wraps up his nine show stay in Edmonton on Saturday.
