Charges have been laid after the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) officers were called to a weapons complaint in the Belvedere neighbourhood March 27.
Very few details have been released about the reason for the call. An Edmonton Police Service (EPS) release said officers found a man who had been shot when they arrived.
A 28-year-old man is facing an aggravated assault charge, as well as 10 charges related to firearms, drug possession and breach of condition offenses.
The man has not been named as the investigation is ongoing.
Police said Tuesday the victim and the suspect know each other and are known to police. Investigators believe this was an isolated incident.
