The hottest tickets in town, at least what’s left of them, go on sale at 10 a.m., Monday.
Stew MacDonald, with the Oilers Entertainment Group, said there will be a limited number of seats available (probably in the hundreds) for the ‘1st round’ of playoff games at Rogers Place.
“If they sell quickly, which is our expectation; by quickly, probably a minute — minutes — that they’ll be gone for each of the games,” said MacDonald. “But it’s as fair a system as possible. It’s available to basically Oilers fans globally online, so jump on quickly at 10 (o’clock) if you’re interested.”
MacDonald said another option is a link on the Oilers website for fan to fan resale.
“Mainly, season seat holders who have purchased their (playoff) tickets have the ability to repost them for sale, and there’s a pretty good selection of seats on there. Normally you have a disclaimer that tickets can sometimes be posted over face value . . . I will give you the guarantee all tickets are posted over face value.”
If the games are not played, the money is refunded since it’s all held in trust by Ticketmaster.
You can also sign up for a last minute ticket alert, for any extra tickets the Oilers have to release. (jrw/td)
