Switzerland has taken the bronze medal at the Men’s World Curling Championship with a 7-4 win in 9 ends over the United States on Sunday.
The Swiss’ Peter de Cruz used a four point 7th end to really put the Americans on the ropes.
The U-S answered with one point in the 8th, but the Swiss came back with one of their own in the 9th to seal the deal.
Switzerland was relegated to the bronze medal game after falling to Sweden 6-5 in 11 ends in the semi-final on Saturday night.
The gold medal game between Canada’s Brad Gushue and Sweden’s Niklas Edin goes Sunday night at Northlands Coliseum.
