I watched an anchor on CNN interviewing a man from Syria, Kassem Eid, who was a survivor of a horrible chemical attack back in 2013.
The anchor asked him what he thought of President Trump sending missiles to destroy an airport in his country. He said he cried out in joy, “Thank you, Mr. President, for not just condemning the chemical attack but actually doing something about it.”
He went on to say how the Obama government had seen several chemical attacks and did nothing but talk about how bad it was.
The anchor ran a tape of Hillary Clinton condemning Trump and asked him what he thought now. He was not dissuaded and again said, “Thank you President Trump.”
The anchor asked him how he could thank a man who made it so hard to be a refugee.
The man replied his people did not want to be refugees. They do not want to come to the USA. They want to live in their own country and he wished more nations would do something to help make it safe.
Should Canada do something more?
Let me know what you think.
