Two people of interest have now been identified and arrested after a small boy — a toddler — was found dead near a northside church on Friday afternoon by a passerby.
Police released surveillance pictures of a young man and woman pushing a stroller into a store on Saturday afternoon, and they’re now thanking the public for a flood of tips.
Investigators believe it was late Tuesday morning when the little boy had been left in the area of 155 Avenue and Castledowns Road, adding they’re now working to determine the exact relationship between the suspects and the toddler with charges pending.
Meanwhile, at the scene of the tragic discovery, people have been laying flowers and teddy bears.

Carol Jeffrey, who lives nearby with her family, said it’s important that the community shows it support for the deceased little boy.
“Our gesture is just that; that this child has people who loves him, even though we didn’t know him. It’s just so important that a child has that love, even if it is from strangers.”
The toddler had been dressed in a light blue snowsuit with black running shoes and yellow laces.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, with no names released. (td)
