Homicide detectives say they are considering whether to upgrade charges against two men accused of attempted murder in an incident from two weekends ago.
On April 15, police were called to a disturbance at a condo near 173 Street and 69 Avenue, and as they entered the building, came across two men, covered in blood.
While they questioned them, they went to the problem suite, where they found a 34-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma. Several other people were also found there with zip ties around their wrists. Police believe the victims were taken as a result of some sort of drug debt.
The 34-year-old was taken to hospital, but died there a week later. The medical examiner confirms he died as a result of his injuries.
Trevor Auger, 36, and Jason Hope, 38, were arrested and charged, and could be in more serious trouble now.
