Outgoing flights have been restored at the Edmonton International Airport after a problem with air traffic control.
NAV Canada says that at around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, they experienced a system issue.
That put the EIA under a “ground stop,” meaning no flights were departing. Inbound flights were still allowed to continue. While the problem was cleared up in about an hour, it took some time for the flights to catch up. You can check your flight times on the airport’s website.
NAV Canada is responsible for all air navigation services in Canada. They say they regret any inconvenience.
