If you see camouflaged soldiers in Hawrelak Park Monday, don’t worry, you’re not under attack.
About 30 members of the 1st Battalion, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry will be conducting a training exercise in Edmonton’s river valley.
The exercise, which will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 8th, is for the soldiers to practice their navigation and observation skills.
Hawrelak Park allows the soldiers to develop these skills on complex and new terrain, providing them the opportunity to practice in an unfamiliar environment.
There will be no weapons involved with the exercise. (BM)
