So, here we go again, the courts across the country are so clogged, important cases are being thrown out because they take too long to get before a judge.
Yet, other cases that may seem silly are still getting a hearing.
We just went through the case of the Ontario woman who gave water to a thirsty pig on a transport truck. That case was thrown out.
Now it’s the case in Nova Scotia where Lorne Grabher’s personal license plate was cancelled after 27 years.
Someone complained that it was socially unacceptable.
It’s his last name: Grabher. G-r-a-b-h-e-r.
Yes you could read it as grab-her if you were looking for something to complain about, as so many seem to be these days.
Attacking someone’s name seems to be discriminatory to me, and that’s what his lawyer is basing his application on to have the decision overturned.
What’s next, someone asked, forcing him to change his name?
It’s interesting to me how many things have been changed because one person complained and the administration of whatever falls over itself trying to be politically correct.
Let me know what you think about this license plate.
