Edmonton's mafia community had a craft sale Saturday!
The Handmade Mafia Craft Sale runs the first Saturday of every month at the Orange Hall and Savoy, just off Whyte Ave.
It's Edmonton's only monthly collective of all things handmade. The Handmade Mafia, which began in May, has gradually gained popularity, especially with those in the creative Etsy community.
Amy Edgar, co-founder of the Handmade Mafia, explains says the idea started a few months ago. "There's no monthly place in Edmonton, or the area, to sell crafts year round. You have farmers markets in the summer and a craft sale in winter, but no year round location. So we decided we needed to start one, and we did it."
For just $2 you can get into both shows and see all the best our local craft aficionados have to offer.
Admission for kids is free. The events run 10am - 4pm. (blb,sl)
