Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parkland co. near Stony Plain, Spruce Grove and Enoch west of Edmonton.
at 4:30 pm an intense thunderstorm was detected 15 kilometres south of spruce grove tracking eastwards at 35 km/h.
Meanwhile a severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for the city of edmonton - st. albert - sherwood park - spruce grove - morinville - mayerthorpe - evansburg - fort saskatchewan - vegreville - redwater - smoky lake- leduc - camrose - wetaskiwin - and tofield.
