One of the places hardest hit by the storm was the front entrance to the CN Tower. So, what do they do now?
"Early next week we're going to access the situation and get the repairs done." Kashif Sehbai is the vice-president of TAWA Developments - they own the CN Tower. He says the wind tore away the cosmetic overhang above the front entrance. "It looks worse than it is. There's no structural damage at all to the tower. It was just basically cosmetic."
As for the tower staff arriving to start a new work week, he says the entanceway will be safe, it just won't look as nice as it used to, that will take time, and money. "I'm guessing there might be about a half a million dollars in damage, if that."
During the storm, a young woman suffered a leg injury, when part of a concrete overhang of the entrance to the CN Tower building downtown, collapsed. Two vehicles were also heavily damaged. (bl,blb)
