Make that four-straight wins for the Oilers.
The latest victory on the road trip, was a 3-2 triumph over the Tampa Bay Lightning, Wednesday night.
Tampa Bay opened the scoring just over a minute into the first period, on a goal by Martin St. Louis. However, the Oilers' Tom Gilbert would tie it midway through the opening frame.
Dustin Penner scored his 17th goal of the season early in the second period to give the Oil a 2-1 lead, before highly-touted rookie Victor Hedman responded for the Lightning. That set the stage for Zack Stortini, to score the eventual game winner. Stortini completed his Gordie Howe hat-trickm as the 4th line enforcer also had an assist and a fight on the night.
Jeff Deslauriers stopped 32 shots, as Tampa Bay outshot Edmonton, 34-32.
The Oilers wrap up their road trip Friday in St. Louis (6 p.m., 630 CHED). (mj/bp)
