The harsh weather put Salvation Army supporters down, but not out.
The 18th annual Santa Shuffle goes today at Hawrelak Park after being postponed earlier in the month due to the extreme cold.
The group's Karen Diaper says the event usually has a great turnout and raises a good chunk of change for the organization.
"Hopefully we're going to get around four hundred runners out," Diaper said. "The Santa Shuffle usually brings in around 15 thousand dollars so we're really hoping that we can get more people out each year to come and join the fun."
Diaper adds registration for the run goes from 8:30 until 9:30 this morning and everyone is welcome to take part.
With only six days left of the campaign, they are about 100 thousand dollars short of their goal of 450 thousand. (rw)
