The hope that all the parties in the legislature could agree on a way to run question period isn't panning out.

Speaker Ken Kowalski is trying to come up with a rotation for questions to make every one happy.

The Wild Rose Alliance which is a bigger party than it used to be wants more time. The New Democrats don't want to lose what they've had. And the Liberals seem to be the lone hold out on a new agreement.

Rob Anderson, the Alliance's house leader, says the Liberals don't lose any advantage under the new system, "My understanding is that the Liberals will actually be moving up in the rotation not down, and they will not be losing questions they will have the same amount of questions that they had prior. So I think this is just Ms. Blakeman ... being Ms Blakeman".

The Speaker's ruling from last week will stay in place, until everyone can agree. (sj, twd, ccg)
