It's been nearly three weeks since a group of Greenpeace activists were arrested for invading a Suncor oilsands location north of Fort McMurray.

The protest forced the site to shut down four huge conveyor belts for the day.

Suncor Spokeswoman, Sneh Seetal says the company is now taking action."In order to protect the safety of everyone on our site and return to normal operations as quickly as reasonably possible, we filed for an injunction to bar Greenpeace activists from Suncor property", explains Seetal. "In addition, to claim for estimated civil damages related to Greenpeace's activity on our site."

Seetal adds the estimated civil damage amount is in the $1.5 million range. (aa, ccg)
