An Edmonton based eye surgeon was back at work Friday morning after his business partner allegedly tried to have him killed.
Dr. Joseph King returned to Clearly Lasik downtown Edmonton. His business partner Dr. Michael Mockovac remains in a Seattle-area jail cell charged with two counts of criminal solicitation to commit first-degree murder.
King, along with a former employee, were the alleged targets in the scheme, according to court documents. Mockovac is accused of wanting to collect insurance money that would be given to the Clearly Lazik company, in the event of King's death.
King was in surgery Friday morning and could not be reached for comment. (ls)
