Post-secondary schools in Alberta are in the process of finalizing their H1N1 vaccine clinics.
The University of Alberta is first off the mark, setting up a three-day "blitz" for students and staff, starting next Wednesday.
Doctor Gerry Predy, the senior medical officer of health for Alberta Health Services, admits the university is facing a tight time line.
"There's a bit of a challenge, because exams are coming," says Predy. "I'm not sure what the demand will be once classes finish. I think it's really up to them (UofA) to decide how long they want to run it. They do have some constraints based upon the fact that the semester is ending soon."
Grant MacEwan University hopes to be able to announce its plans for a clinic, early next week. (sj/bp)
