The Edmonton Oilers have made a coaching change to their American Hockey League affliatte the Springfield Falcons. General Manager Steve Tambellini has fired first year head coach Jeff Truitt and replaced him with Rob Daum.

Daum was serving as a pro scout for the Oilers this season, he was an assistant coach last season.

Daum coached in the A-H-L for two seasons for the Houston Aeros, the top farm club of the Minnesota Wild. Daum is most noted for coaching the U of A Golden Bears hockey team for 10 seasons.

Daum's first game behind the Falcons bench will be tomorrow night, he takes over a team which compiled a 16-27-7 record under Truitt.
