Defenceman Cam Barker has had his road trip cut shot.  Barker has an ankle injury and is returning to Edmonton for further examination.

He'll miss Friday night's game in Detroit.  The Oilers wrap up their six-game road trip Sunday in Chicago.

So far this season, Barker has one goal in 12 games.  He missed three games earlier with a shoulder injury.

Meanwhile, Andy Sutton returns from a suspension and is expected to play against the Red Wings.  (jrw)
