You won't be seeing Cam Barker in the Oilers lineup for a long time.

Barker needs ankle surgery and will be out roughly three months.  He was injured last week in Boston.

Meanwhile, fellow defenceman Ryan Whitney is getting closer to returning to action as he gets over a knee problem.  Forward Sam Gagner won't play Thursday night against Ottawa as he's bothered by back problems.  (jrw)
