The City of Edmonton needs some help becoming a prime piece of real estate, while a former city councillor is in the "big house" to get locals' attention.
Michael Phair shouted out, as police arrested him for rolling doubles three times in Monopoly Tuesday. He swears it was only twice.
While heading to his virtual jail cell, he started begging people to vote for Edmonton to get a spot on the new Canadian Monopoly board -- and save him from the slammer.
Robert Moyles with the city says getting a prime spot on the game board is a big deal, because Edmonton deserves a place on the board that reflects the city's position as the best Canadian city.
While Edmonton was in the top-20 as of Tuesday, it was still trailing many other cities, including Calgary. People have until February 7th to mark their vote online. (ly, ccg)
