Damage is pegged at $1 million dollars after a fire destroyed a pair of houses in south Edmonton.
A thick orange haze of smoke could be seen billowing high in the sky, Thursday night, as the fire tore through the two buildings.
Both homes were under construction. Fire rescue says the fire was visible on the main floor and spread rapidly to the second floor.

The blaze then spread to a second house under construction. There was also some exterior heat damage to occupied houses on either side.
No one was hurt in the blaze. The cause is still under investigation. (TD/BD/KS/ccg)
