Interactive Content Coordinator

Corus Radio has an exciting opportunity for a Interactive Content Coordinator at our Edmonton location. Reporting to the Interactive Operations Manager, the successful candidate will assist in the day to day creation of content for each stations website - with the dual goals of ‘bringing visitors back’ to the station website on a regular basis and supporting the growth of Interactive revenue. We are looking for someone who will assist us in making our websites engaging and compelling.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure all day-to-day functions of the department are running smoothly
• Implementation and creation of content related to: web design, video, graphic design, photos, audio, text, contests and all local updating not done by other radio station personnel.
• Work with the Interactive Account Managers and Promotion Directors on the generation and implementation of sales ideas.
• Adhere to Corus online Standards related to broadcast codes.
• Assist in training of local staff regarding use of CMS and other tools provided for station use.
• Work with interactive team to help coordinate projects from start to finish.
• Assist in the collection and analysis of website statistics.
• Ensure work delivered is high quality and fully tested.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 1 year work experience with websites - or educational equivalent.
• Must possess an understanding of current HTML and CSS web standards.
• Must possess strong Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Illustrator skills.
• Must have experience and basic understanding of Adobe Flash and Actionscript.
• Experience with Video editing software such as iMovie and/or Adobe Premiere is a plus.
• Must have ability to shoot and edit video and photos.
• Strong understanding of web design and page layout skills essential.
• Experience designing ads for clients and agencies.
• Will have excellent writing and grammar skills.
• Active and knowledgeable in the world of social media including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube.
• Must have an extremely high level of accuracy with an excellent attention to detail.
• Must be well organized and have an ability to prioritize work flow.
• Able to produce high quality work within specified deadlines.
• Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Able to work independently in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
• Knowledge of 92.5 JOE FM, 630 CHED, iNews880 and 103.9 CISN FM is an asset.
